Nicholas P. Bonifacio, 18 years, of Monroe, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in his home.

Nick was born December 26, 1995 in Monroe, the son of Jeffery P. and Robyn C. (Younglove) Bonifacio. Nick attended Custer Elementary and Monroe Middle Schools and was currently a senior at Monroe High School.

Nick was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Monroe, where he was baptized, received his first communion, and was confirmed.

Nick enjoyed skateboarding, his pets, welding, video games and hanging with his friends. Nick will be remembered as a real people person who was very kind and respectful of others. Nick had no greater love than for his family and his girlfriend and soul mate Chelsea Klocek. Sadly, Chelsea passed away on March 5, 2014 which left Nick with a very heavy heart.

Nick is survived by his loving parents: Jeff and Robyn Bonifacio of Monroe, two loving sisters: Victoria A. Bonifacio and Brittany C. Bonifacio of Monroe, his caring grandparents: Leona A. Bonifacio of Monroe and Thomas and Betty Younglove of Monroe, his great grandmother: Hilda Betker of Monroe, and many other loving relatives and friends. In addition to his girlfriend Chelsea, Nick was preceded in death by his grandfather Ennio “Papa Teke” Bonifacio and Uncle Mick.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 1:00 to 8:00 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI, 48161 where a Scripture Service will be held that evening a 6:00 PM. On Tuesday, April 22, 2014 he will lie in state at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 127 N. Monroe St., Monroe, MI, 48162 from 10:00 AM until Mass of The Resurrection celebrating his life at 11:00 AM. Father David Burgard, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Nick’s family.
