Margaret Braun

Margaret B. Braun, 90 years, of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte, Michigan with her loving family at her side. Born October 23, 1927 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, Margaret was the daughter of the late Franz and Margarete (Egerer) Rudl. Margaret came to the United States in 1951 from Germany. On December 1, 1951, Margaret married her beloved husband, Martin Braun at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Monroe. Sadly, Martin preceded her in death on July 13, 1982 after 30 years of marriage. Margaret assisted her husband with his custodial work at First National Bank. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, flower gardening, crocheting, knitting and needle point. Margaret was a devoted member of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Monroe where she baked desserts for funeral luncheons. Most of all Margaret loved time spent with family.

Margaret is survived by three loving children: Margaret A. (Salvatore) Vitale of Monroe, Martin J. (Rosemarie) Braun of Monroe, and Helen E. (Brown) Coffee of Taylor, MI., five cherished grandchildren: Joe Salvatore (Sandy) Vitale, Franchesca (Joe) Camaci, Christina (Tyler) Beaudrie, Aaron (Amanda) Braun, and Michael (Melissa) Braun, eleven treasured great grandchildren: Khloe, Ava, Emma, Isaac, Shaianna, Dominic, Stefania, Angelina, Chiara, Luca, and Noah, one cherished great great granddaughter: Gabriella Roselynn, and three fur babies: Bella, Daisy, and Murphy.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI, 48161 where a Scripture Service will be held that evening at 6 PM. On Tuesday, April 10, 2018 she will lie in state at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church from 10:00 AM until Mass of the Resurrection celebrating her life at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church or Season’s Hospice at Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte.
