Gerald “Jerry” Foley of Birmingham died peacefully at home January 30, 2018

Jerry was born January 4, 1940, in Detroit as the youngest child to Mary Ann (nee Griffin) and Patrick Foley.

Jerry was proud of his service in US Army. He and two of his brothers, Jack and Jim, owned Foley Medical, Inc for most of their professional lives. Jerry was a passionate fan of his entire family, his Irish heritage, Notre Dame football and certainly his own jokes. His undeniable gift of gab and genuine smile made him a centerpiece of any social gathering.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nidia, and his children, Gerald (Natalia Buniewicz) Foley II and Mary Ann Foley. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Gerber.

Friends and family may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Roads), Thursday, February 1st, 3-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church, 630 Harmon Street, Birmingham, Friday, February 2nd at 11am. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
