Esther DeCiantisEsther DeCiantis
March 03, 1926 - August 04, 2017

Esther was born March 3, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to Luigi and Amelia Paulantonio. She entered into rest August 4, 2017 in Clarkston, Michigan at the age of 91.

Esther grew up in Detroit, where she met and married the love of her life, Americo DeCiantis. The couple met in 1946 shortly after the end of World War II and fell deeply in love; they were married shortly after at The Church of the Madonna. They later had four children whom they adored. There was nothing more important to Esther than her family; the more family members she had around her, the happier she was.

Appearance was also very important to Esther. She wouldn’t dream of leaving the house without her makeup done and every hair in place. Her house was also pristine at all times, and she could often be found cleaning, when she wasn’t cooking that is. Esther was known for her delicious cooking; especially her Italian classics. She could make a feast out of anything, even if there wasn’t much in the house. And with her fantastic cooking she threw amazing parties! The way she was able to put a party together at the drop of a hat often amazed her family and friends. A very generous person Esther would welcome anyone into her home for a hot meal and a place to rest.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Americo who passed away March 17, 2017. Her dear parents and siblings Peter (Sophie) Savolino, John (Dorothy) Savolino, Mary (guy) Serafino, Merceda (Sam) Calle, Amelia (Vincenzo) Sugameli, Louis, and Rudy (Gloria).

Esther is survived by her adoring children, Americo Jr, Louis (Jeri), Rosemarie (Mike) Wesner, and Ronnie (Jodi); Her grandchildren, Richard, Chad (Jessica), J. Christian (Annmarie), Joel, Justin (Amy), Vincent (Sarah), Natalie (Facu), Arianna, Giovanni, Marisa, John (Jackie), James (Marilyn), Michael (Kim), Mark (Carisa) and Patrick, and great-grandchildren, Ian, Piper, Enzo, Leo, Nico, Gianna, Luca, Isabella, Levi, Giovanni, Hanna, Maggie, Sarah, Madeline, James, Mikey, Katie, and Teagan. She will also be missed by many loving nieces, and nephews.
