Elizabeth Ann Sultana, a resident of Redford Township, passed away on April 5, 2018, at the age of 88.

pon graduation from High School, Elizabeth attended secretarial school and went on to work at the Chrysler Corporation as an administrator. Later, Elizabeth retired and stayed at home to raise her five children.

Growing up, Elizabeth loved to play with paper dolls with her neighbor friends and she also loved to go to dances. Appropriately, Elizabeth met her late husband Augustine while ballroom dancing. She also participated in many ballroom competitions.

Elizabeth was a lover of art and opera. She enjoyed seeing museum art and coloring herself.

A familiar quote Elizabeth was known to say to her children was, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all". Elizabeth's favorite book was the bible. She loved reading scripture.

Elizabeth loved being a part of her children's lives. She even served as a den mother for her son's boy scout troop.

Elizabeth was the beloved wife the late Augustine J.

Elizabeth was the dear mother of Mary (Frank) Swastek and cherished grandmother of Michael, Joel and Elizabeth; mother of Robert (Kim) Sultana and grandmother of Ben and Nick; mother of Gregory (Cynthia) Sultana and grandmother of Steven and Dominic; mother of Anne Marie (Matthew) Hausch and grandmother of Lindsey, Luke and Jacob; and mother of Angela (Michael) Foster and grandmother of Carmen, Trevor and Sophia.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 9, from 3-9 p.m. at the L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, 7707 Middlebelt Road (South of Ann Arbor Trail). A Scripture Service will be held at 6 p.m.

Elizabeth will lie instate on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 27101 West Chicago (at Inkster Road) until the time of her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.

Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
